When we say we just cannot close, it is not just about the animals, it’s about the volunteers who we support. People who come up day after day as they get satisfaction out of their work. They turn up come rain or shine. Here are 3 of our volunteers soaking wet still smiling and still geting that reward of self satisfaction from doing a good day’s work. They care for the animals and the sanctuary helps them make friends, beat loneliness, isolation and help people from becoming disconnected from their communities. Idlewild is a lifeline for so many and brings people together; it gives people purpose.
